Studio Policies, Terms & Conditions
Welcome to SELF PILATES LLC. These Studio Policies, Terms & Conditions are designed to maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all members, guests, and staff. By purchasing a membership, class package, or booking any service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following policies.
Upon purchase, you will receive a copy of the full SELF PILATES Studio Policies and are strongly advised to review them carefully before signing or participating in any class or service.
1. Attendance & Late Arrival Policy
Late arrivals will not be permitted to join class. This policy ensures the safety of all participants and prevents disruption to the session already in progress. We recommend arriving at least 5 minutes prior to class start time. Doors open 5 minute before class time.
2. Cancellation & No Show Policy
All class and sauna cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance through the SELF PILATES app or online booking platform.
Late Cancellations:
Cancellations made within the 24 hour window will result in the loss of the class credit.
No Show Policy:
If you are booked for a class and do not attend without cancelling, it will be recorded as a no-show.
All no-shows result in:
• Loss of class credit
• $20 no-show fee charged to the card on file
Repeated no-shows may result in temporary suspension of booking privileges.
3. Refund & Return Policy
All sales are final. No refunds, returns, transfers, or extensions will be issued for:
• Memberships
• Class packages
• Sauna sessions
• Private sessions
• Retail items
Exceptions may be made solely at the discretion of SELF PILATES LLC in cases of documented medical emergency.
4. Failed Payment & Processing Fee Policy (Texas)
If a payment method on file is declined, SELF PILATES will attempt to notify the member via email, phone, or text.
Members must update payment information within 3 business days of notification.
After this grace period, a $15 processing/re-attempt fee may be applied for each failed payment.
Membership access and booking privileges may be suspended until the balance is paid in full.
In accordance with Texas Business & Commerce Code § 604A.0021, SELF PILATES LLC may recover reasonable fees for returned or failed payments, provided such fees are clearly disclosed.
5. Grip Sock Requirement
For hygiene and safety purposes, grip socks are required for all Pilates classes. If you arrive without grip socks, a pair must be purchased prior to participation. This helps prevent slips, maintains cleanliness, and protects both clients and equipment.
6. Equipment Weight & Safety Guidelines
SELF PILATES utilizes Balanced Body Studio Reformers which have a maximum weight capacity of 350 lbs per manufacturer specifications.
Members approaching or exceeding this limit are asked to notify the studio prior to class so appropriate accommodations can be made. This policy is based strictly on equipment engineering standards and is not related to body appearance or type.
Members are encouraged to consult a healthcare provider before beginning any new fitness program.
7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
Participation in Pilates and fitness activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, falls, injury, or aggravation of pre-existing conditions.
By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks and agree that SELF PILATES LLC, its owners, staff, instructors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation, except as required by Texas law.
8. Health Disclosure & Medical Clearance
Clients must disclose any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, or physical limitations prior to participation.
SELF PILATES reserves the right to request written medical clearance if deemed necessary for safety.
Failure to disclose conditions may result in participation at the client’s own risk.
9. Pregnancy Policy
SELF PILATES does not offer pregnancy or prenatal Pilates classes.
For safety reasons, clients who are currently pregnant are not permitted to participate in reformer or mat classes at this time. We encourage expectant mothers to seek programs specifically designed for prenatal fitness with certified prenatal instructors.
10. Membership Hold Policy
SELF PILATES does not offer membership holds or freezes for any reason, including medical or personal circumstances.
All memberships remain active and continue to bill according to the selected plan. Members are encouraged to carefully consider this policy before purchasing.
